Printhie Wines continues to make its mark on the Australian sparkling scene by taking out the Best Sparkling Trophies for its Swift Rosé at the 2019 Orange Wine Show and NSW Wine Awards respectively.
Printhie Wines can now claim they have produced the best sparkling wine in NSW two years in a row after the Swift Cuvée received the Best Sparkling Trophy at the 2018 NSW Wine Awards and Best Wine at the 2018 Orange Wine Show.
But the awards for the Swift Rosé don’t stop there. In total for 2019 alone, it has picked up 2 trophies, 3 gold medals, 1 silver and 3 bronze. All from the major wine shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Queensland, Australian Sparkling Wine Show and locally at Orange.
The Swift Sparkling range including the Cuvée, Vintage, Rosé and the flagship Blanc de Blancs have picked up 9 trophies and 60 medals in the last four years confirming its place as one of Australia’s best sparkling ranges. Putting Orange on the map as providing optimal conditions for creating sparkling wine.
The consistency of these results indicates that the wine really is one of the very best examples of its style anywhere in Australia. It certainly indicates that we are making a high-quality wine across the Swift range.
It is a great reward for the whole winemaking team to receive this level of recognition and we hope that it instils a great level of confidence that whenever someone is drinking Swift they are drinking great sparkling wine.
The Swift Sparkling range that is winning awards today, was actually made up to 10 years ago. We’ve had them sitting in our cellar, maturing in bottle, until they were at their best and ready for release. So a lot of long term planning and care has been put into these wines.
We’ve always believed that our region has significant potential for producing world-class sparkling wine and are thrilled that this has been recognised by the judges at these recent wine shows.
