03 Jan 2025 Highlights
As the year draws to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on 2025 highlights and what’s been a pretty busy year here in Orange.
It was a standout year for Swift 2016 Vintage Sparkling, which picked up 6 ‘Best Sparkling’ trophies across the country and a place in The Australian’s Top 100 Wines of 2025. Seeing it recognised as possibly the most awarded Sparkling in Australia this year was a real highlight for our whole team.
The Swift Sparkling Blanc de Blancs 2012 was also recognised as one of the top three sparklings in Australia for 2025 by The Real Review with Printhie also listed in their Top Wineries of Australia.
We also maintained our Five Star Winery rating for the 17th year with the Halliday Wine Companion, including our seventh year as a Five Red Star winery. Eight of our wines scored 95 points or higher this year, with a quarter of Orange’s top-scoring wines coming from Printhie. Our Swift Sparkling range especially shone, earning more top scores than any other sparkling producer in Australia.
A couple of wines also caught the judges’ attention again, with Topography Pinot Gris 2024 shortlisted for Best in Category for the second year running, alongside Swift 2017 Vintage Rosé, following on from last year’s success.
Beyond the wine, it’s been a great year for experiences too. We were honoured to be named NSW’s Best Tourism Winery in our first ever NSW Tourism Awards entry. We love welcoming people to our small corner of the world through picnics, fly fishing, oyster tastings, sparkling masterclasses and our much-loved Chef’s Table. We also achieved Quality Tourism and Sustainable Tourism accreditation this year.
In the restaurant, Printhie Dining retained its Good Food Guide hat for the third year, with a continued focus on seasonality, sense of place and reducing our footprint through the establishment of the kitchen garden which is now used daily by the chefs.
We also hosted everything from winter wreath workshops with Bess Scott using grapevine canes to sold-out Harvest Lunches in the Vines and a Vintners Table dinner experience with Ed and Dave Swift during the Orange Wine Festival.
Mostly, we’re grateful to our team, our region and everyone who visited, tasted, dined and celebrated with us this year. Thanks for being part of the journey. We can’t wait to see what 2026 brings.
