This is Printhie’s only red blend. It is estate fruit and the best fruit from the vintage has been hand selected. This wine is a Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz and spends two years in barrel, followed by 8 years in bottle. An excellent look at what happens to wine as it ages. Those bright, upfront fruit flavours start to fall away and the secondary and tertiary characters shine. This wine is typified by flavours of christmas cake and dried tobacco. A wine to pair with strong aged cheeses or deep, rich casseroles.
