One of the best varieties in Orange. Cool climate, high elevation vineyards, mix of barrel & tank fermentation, yeast lees aged 6 months. Modern Australian chardonnay. Citrus, stone fruit and a hint of tropical richness. Fresh and lively with fruit purity. Some bread dough and savoury oak complexity in the background. Good flavour intensity with excellent persistence. Nice balance, not overtly oaky but enough to add complexity.
Alc – 12.2% pH - 3.38 TA – 6.7gL RS – 1.0gL
Whilst it will develop some additional richness with 2-3 years bottle age, it is a wine produced to look its best when young and fresh.
