Virtual Tasting Pack #3

RRP: $150.00

MEMBER: $135.00 Save up to 10% by joining the Wine Club

Join us for live virtual tastings on Fridays at 4pm on either Facebook or Instagram. You can taste and ask questions as if you were sitting at the tasting bench in our cellar door. In this pack we’re going to look at the differences in the way Printhie Sparkling and the Swift Cuvée is made, followed by a comparison of our Sauvignon Blancs (we think you’ll be very surprised at the taste and we’ve released museum stock just for this tasting) plus a special look at our family favourite, the Swift Family Heritage. We’ve reduced the price of this pack by $20 making it great value for an exploration of these wines. The tasting schedule for this pack is outlined below:

  • Friday 29 May = Sparkling (Printhie + Swift Cuvée)
  • Friday 5 June = Sauvignon Blanc (Mountain Range + MCC)
  • Friday 12 June = Swift Family Heritage (Cabernet Sauvignon 85%, Shiraz 15%)

Printhie NV Sparkling

Citrus, floral and white stone fruit. Fresh and lively with fruit purity. Attractive, fine mousse with good mouthfeel. Nice acid/sugar balance making its very approachable and more-ish.

Swift NV Cuvée #7

Winner of the Best Sparkling Trophy at the NSW Wine Awards 2018 and Best Sparkling Trophy and Best Wine at the Orange Wine Show 2018. We've had the Best Sparkling in NSW two years running with the Swift Sparkling Rosé awarded the Best Sparkling Trophy at the NSW Wine Awards in 2019. Swift Sparkling wines are single vineyard, high elevation wines that sit alongside the best sparkling wines from across Australia. The Cuvée is usually chardonnay dominant but embraces the complexity that pinot noir and reserve wines can bring to the blend. Long lees ageing (approx 60 months) adds richness. Low dosage enables greater purity and expressiveness. Source from a single vineyard with 2 different chardonnay blocks and 2 different pinot noir blocks, all hand harvested, whole bunch pressed, fermented & matured separately until blending. MLF is minimal to preserve acidity and freshness. Tirage bottled in early spring following vintage. Wonderful freshness, vibrancy and complexity which can only be achieved with great fruit, gentle handling and patience – time in bottle. Terrific intensity of white fruit, florals, strawberry, brioche & nuttiness. Fine mousse is lively on the palate. Delicately balanced dosage. Long fine palate. Dosage: 7.0g/L Tirage date: September 2013 Disgorge date: January 2019 Time on lees: 60 months

Mountain Range 2019 Sauvignon Blanc

Awarded Best Sauvignon Blanc Trophy at the 2019 Orange Wine Show, this wine punches above its weight. Pale green-yellow colour. Obvious varietal aromas – ripe citrus plus tropical fruits highlighted by passionfruit. The palate has juicy fruit and zingy acidity giving a mouthwatering quality. A great value Trophy winning wine.

MCC 2017 Sauvignon Blanc

This is museum stock that we've made available again to partner with our virtual tastings. Expect more muted varietal aromas than your average sauvignon blanc and intentionally so. We're looking for less impact and more complexity. Still recognisable as sauvignon blanc with its green nettle, hint of passionfruit and cut grass but also some nutty, more savoury elements.

Swift Family Heritage 2012

Casting our minds back almost a decade to the 2012 vintage, it was a cooler vintage than average with a long growing season aiding terrific flavour development. Sourced from the oldest estate vines in the Printhie Winery Block, fermented and then matured in new and one-year-old French and American hogshead barrels and bottled after 15 months. Cabernet Sauvignon 85%, Shiraz 15%.
